La investigación científica del turismo sostenible: un análisis bibliométrico
Resumen
Considerando el rápido crecimiento del sector turístico y sus efectos económicos, sociales y ambientales; el propósito de este trabajo es analizar el comportamiento de la producción científica del turismo sostenible para el periodo entre 1987 y 2022. Este trabajo de investigación utiliza los principales indicadores de bibliometría, para el análisis de documentos publicados sobre turismo sostenible en Web of Science (WoS). Los resultados indican que se está incrementando el interés por el tema de estudio, ya que, de los 34 años consultados y 3438 documentos analizados, los últimos cinco años concentran la publicación de más del 50% de los trabajos. El análisis de palabras clave revela que Administración, Impacto y Conservación son las temáticas sobre las cuales más se ha trabajado. En el mejor de nuestro conocimiento, este trabajo contribuye con un análisis actual y global de la investigación científica en turismo sostenible; otras investigaciones analizan periodos menores o con temas más específicos.
